THE FUTURE IS...INTERFAITH
THE FUTURE IS...COLLABORATIVE
THE FUTURE IS...OURS TO FASHION
These assertions are the foundational basis of the Center for Interfaith Collaboration and are themselves a reflection of Rabbi Aaron Bisno’s quarter-century vision for the ways in which religion will be delivered and experienced in the 21st Century.
The Center for Interfaith Collaboration was established in 2023 to fulfill Rabbi Bisno’s vision of creating and encouraging the most interesting, courageous, possibly even sacred conversations with all parties, religious, civic and academic, around issues that define our day, as well as what it will mean to have faith in the future.
Judaism’s Wisdom literature and wider Rabbinic teachings offer a blueprint for engaging fruitfully with the world, founded upon a willingness: (1) to engage in dialogue “for the sake of heaven,” (2) to bring open-mindedness such that one learns from all people, and (3) to accord respect to the minority or marginalized opinion.
The Center for Interfaith Collaboration seeks to fulfill this sacred blueprint by facilitating programs of all types that bring ancient Rabbinic wisdom into interfaith spaces and the public sphere.
